Although The AES Op Lounge staff will attempt to keep the forum free from all objectionable content, it is impossible for us to review all submitted posts. Therefore, you acknowledge that all content preset on these forums express the views and opinions of their author and not necessarily represent those of any external parties such as the administrator or moderators. Hence, the management of this forum is free from all liability for the content within.
You must converse in an appropriate way to be allowed to participate
Messages which are found to be abusive, obscene, vulgar, hateful, slanderous, threatening, or which are otherwise in violation of any laws, deemed as such by the administrators, and at their sole discretion, will be removed. Users which have made posts falling into any of the above categories may face permanent banishment from the forum or their account may be subject to any other actions deemed appropriate by the administrators. This may include reporting you to the proper authorities such as law enforcement agencies or to your internet service provider. Logs of all forum activity, including the IP address of all posts, are recorded to aid in enforcement these conditions.

As a user you agree that any information you provide (such as your name, email address, birth date, etc) will be stored in our database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party, The AES Op Lounge staff cannot be held responsible for the possible corruption of this data by illegal activities propagated by malicious users.
Your email will only be used for administrative purposes
The email address you provide during the registration process is used only for confirmation of your registration details and password (and for sending new passwords should you forget your current one). It may, on rare occasions, be used for site-related news considered of great importance by the administrators.
Stay on topic when posting a new thread, or posting to a pre-existing thread
The creation of a thread that is not related to any of the topics covered by The AES Op Lounge forums and sub-forums, or posts which are not related to the thread that they are submitted to, is against the rules. Repeated violation of this rule, after having been notified of this at least once, may lead to administrative action against your account.
When creating a new thread, use a thread subject which is understandable and describes the content of the thread properly. Use an appropriate forum for the thread. Thread subjects should properly describe the content of the thread. Thread subjects like: "What's this?", "Why isn't it working?", "So, which is it?", should be avoided.
Advertising Services and Solicitation
We do not allow people to post threads or to send private messages or emails to users that advertise or solicit any products, services, funds or donations. Explicit advertising and solicitating in signatures is also prohibited.
Respect of Copyrights
Links to copyrighted or illegal material, discussion containing information of how to obtain such material, bypass protection methodologies of such material, or otherwise violate laws pertaining to such matters, will not be tolerated.
Officially NOT Official
The AES Op Lounge is NOT an 'official' site. This means that the site is not paid for, endorsed or maintained by the Canadian Forces or the Government of Canada. The information you read in the various sections of the site is not to be considered 'official' and all visitors are encouraged to use official resources to confirm anything that might have been read on this site before making decisions or taking any action of consequence. Also, this site should never be used or quoted as a 'source' for official information.
